In order to get fruit of marketable good quality, the bunches of dates need to be thinned and bagged or covered prior to ripening so that the remaining fruits develop larger and are protected from climate and pests such as birds. To comply with a Mediterranean diet program, eat massive amounts of fruits, vegetables, complete grains and legumes. |
